Jesse Amaya

Elder and Pastor for Spanish Language Ministry

Jesse was born and raised in the border town of Mexicali, Mexico. Growing up in a Christian home, he came to know the Lord Jesus and His Gospel at a young age. After graduating high school, he moved to Riverside, CA, where he attended La Sierra University and graduated with a degree in French and Spanish. During his undergraduate studies, he met his wife Teresa whom he married in 1999. Together they have four children, Kaleb, Sofia, David and Matthew. Jesse taught world languages at the high school level for 23 years until he joined the pastoral team at Fellowship in 2018, where he leads our Spanish ministry. Jesse loves to study and teach God’s word, and to see its life-transforming power in people’s lives.
